Your day at NTT DATAIn the role of Sales Manager, the associate will be responsible to lead and manage the team of dedicated GIN Sales Representatives in Seattle, USA. The Sales Manager will be directly responsible for leading their team to generate new incremental monthly recurring revenue (NIMRR) through the sale of GIN products and services to existing customer. The Sales Manager role's location of work will be hybrid, and based in the Seattle/Redmond metro area. The Sales Manager will be expected to work with other members of the Sales Management Team as well as across other departments such as Finance, Product Management, IP Engineering and Operations, NOC, and Customer Engineering to help with or lead specific projects pertaining to GIN revenue generation within the specified sales channel.

This position will join the Global IP Network (GIN) team at NTT. NTT's Global IP Network is one of the world's largest Tier 1 global IP backbones, spanning the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania on a single autonomous system number AS2914. As a top wholesale IP provider globally, our network has received many international recognitions, including Best Global Wholesale Carrier, Best North American Wholesale Carrier and Wholesale Operator of the Year, among others.

What you'll be doing

What will make you a good fit for the role?

In this role you will:Develop and manage a sales organization focused on selling to existing customers based in North American markets with direct collaboration with a target market segment focus of Internet-centric customers needing GE/10GE/100GE/400GE Ports.Provide deal support for new customer opportunities and renewal/upgrade opportunities for current customers including pricing approval and overall deal management.Interfaces closely with Product/Sales Management, IP Operations, and other groups within GIN to provide feedback on market trends, competitive issues, and client needs.As a part of the GIN Sales Management Team, the Sales Manager will be providing regular updates regarding assigned team sales activities in addition to weekly and monthly reporting.Track progress and analyze trends of ongoing sales opportunities for their team, and responsible for reporting on this activity to Senior Management.Work with Sales Engineering, Product Development and Marketing teams to leverage necessary tools and resources to promote the success of the Sales Team.Required flexibility to work outside of "standard" 9am-6pm time zone hours.Good knowledge of all Microsoft Office, Internet, and Salesforce.com applications.Enforces performance standards and addresses all problems/issues in a timely fashion, consistent with the defined GIN processes and structuresResponsible for ensuring staff participates and successfully completes all companywide mandates/training in a timely manner.Complies with Corporate Equal Employment Opportunity and all Ethics and professional standards.Complies with all corporate and organizational security policies and guidelines.Ability to travel up to 25%+ of the time.This role is perfect for you, if you:

8+ years of sales and/or business development experience, including experience in developing complex multi-component business solutions.5+ years of experience specifically within the IP industries is preferred or experience within the data center and/or Telecom industries.3-5+ years of experience managing a direct sales team of Individual ContributorsHave a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field preferred.Skills and Core Competencies

Required to have previously managed a national or regional level team of sales executives.High technical aptitude with ability to accurately articulate the underlying technologies and applications of the Internet.Must have a working knowledge of telecom and Internet transit services, including items such as private peering agreements, and the network implications surrounding these types of relationships.Excellent communication abilities in the English language, for both verbal and written interactions.Well-honed teamwork skills including the ability to work with executive level prospects and customers.Proven track record of success meeting/exceeding a sales team quota.Proven experience in developing and delivering effective sales process and tactical training.Proven ability to analyze a customer need and develop and recommend alternative solutions to meet that need.Being a seasoned negotiator with highly effective conflict resolution skills.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions will be hybrid - remote working and regular visits to the Redmond, WA, USA office.
