What You'll Do:

We are looking for an End User Computing Architect to become a part of our dynamic IT team who will play a vital role in the identification, review, and implementation of innovative end-user services technology aimed at revolutionizing our end-user experience at Panasonic.

End-user technology Architecture (Design and Governance) and Service Delivery Excellence

Lead projects and tasks related to end-user services, including security remediation's, implementation of new security technologies, and modern desktop initiatives.

Development of processes and procedures that align with ITIL/Security standards and best practices for end-user technologies.

Act as the Escalation point for technical questions posed by end-user support staff and clients.

Support end-user compliance and audit initiatives and projects (ISO27001/CMMC, etc)

Create and review technical documentation

Evaluation & implementation of new end-user technologies and roadmap maintenance for end-user services technologies

Skills Enhancement (Training in technologies and methodologies relevant to Enterprise architecture and End User Services)

Scope

:

The position has no budget responsibilities but is expected to be as efficient as possible.

Position reports to PEXNA Lead IT Architect and Sr Service Delivery Manager with no direct reports.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

Education & Experience:

4-Year Degree in Computer Science (or related curriculum) or 10-12 years of relevant work experience in multiple technologies and end-user support functions which includes but is not limited to the following:

Enterprise Architecture:

Windows and Mac OS-based Laptops/workstations/Tablets, Servers, VDI, Active Directory, Network, and mobile. PowerShell Scripting, Python, Azure, or AWS VDI /Server experience a plus. Strong background deeply rooted in end-user technologies.

Desktop Engineering:

Windows and Apple based Laptops/workstations/tablets/phones, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft (Autopilot, Intune, O365 Suite, MECM, ServiceNow, JAMF, etc)

Problem Solving

:

Ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Ability to analyze and resolve complex desktop/Mobile issues spanning multiple US-based locations.

Candidate must take a holistic approach to desktop architecture/operations and fully understand the role it plays in Panasonic’s overall Enterprise Architecture strategy and exceptional end-user experience.

Communications

:

Must possess the ability to easily communicate with all levels of management and technical resources.

The ability to communicate and collaborate with offshore and nearshore resources (India and Mexico).

Other Requirements

:

May require 5% travel.

Position is required to work hybrid (currently 2 days per week) in the Newark, New Jersey office.

Proven experience as a Desktop Architect and experience in Desktop Engineering troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Previous experience with leading an end-user technology project.

Experience with providing direction to junior engineers when required.

Experience with workplace digital transformation to enhance or transform the end-user experience.

Strong understanding of Global IT infrastructure and ITIL principles and methodologies

ITIL foundational knowledge: ITSM management (Change, Incident, Request)

Establish and maintain a roadmap for IT end-user experience.

Must possess the ability to mentor junior desktop support staff and work independently.

Track new and emerging technologies that could be beneficial to our overall Enterprise Architecture strategy.

Communication and Collaboration with peers in business units outside of PEXNA

New technology evaluations and collaboration with external vendors

Develops new standards and procedures for existing or new Business cases.

Technology Requirements:

Hardware: Laptop/Desktop/Mobile/Tablet

Network: TCP/IP Protocols and basic networking knowledge

Best Practices: Laptop/Desktop/mobile security

End User Device Security Technology – Trend Product Suite, MS Defender, CrowdStrike, Cyberark, etc

Operating Systems: Windows and MAC IOS on end-user devices and servers

End User Software: Microsoft Office 365 Product Suite

Domain Network: Active Directory/Entra ID

End User Device management tools: JAMF, Intune, MECM, ManageEngine, ServiceNow

Identity and Access Management – Okta/Ping/Auth0

ZTNA – Zscaler/Netskope

Preferred Certifications:

ITIL4, Lean Six Sigma, A+, Network+, TOGAF

The wage range of

$115,000 - $125,000

is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
