The Ecommerce Director will oversee the strategy, management, and execution of the company's ecommerce operations. This role is pivotal in driving online sales growth, optimizing the digital customer experience, and ensuring seamless integration of ecommerce activities with overall business goals. The Ecommerce Director will work closely with various departments, including marketing, IT, logistics, and customer service, to enhance the company's online presence and drive revenue through digital channels.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement the overall ecommerce strategy to drive online sales and profitability.Identify growth opportunities, including new markets, platforms, and partnerships.Set and manage ecommerce budgets and KPIs to successfully hit sales targetsOversee the UX, design, development, and maintenance of the company's ecommerce website.Ensure the website is optimized for user experience (UX), conversion rate optimization (CRO), and SEO.Collaborate with the IT and web development teams to implement new features, tools, and technologies.Coordinate with the marketing team to plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.Monitor and analyze SEO and SEM providing actionable insights to improve ROI.Own seasonal product go-live process within ecomm functionWork with the product and inventory teams to ensure optimal product assortment, pricing, and availability online.Oversee product listings, descriptions, images, and other content to ensure they are accurate and optimized for search engines.Enhance the online customer journey from acquisition to retention, focusing on improving conversion rates and customer satisfaction.Develop and implement strategies for personalized shopping experiences and customer loyalty programs.Manage customer feedback, reviews, and ratings to continuously improve the online shopping experience.Track, analyze, and report on ecommerce performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management.Utilize data to make informed decisions regarding pricing, promotions, and product strategies.Identify trends and insights to drive business decisions.Lead and mentor a team of ecommerce professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, IT, and logistics, to ensure alignment and support for ecommerce initiatives.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in ecommerce.Other duties as assignedRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA) is preferred.7+ years of experience in ecommerce management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven track record of driving ecommerce growth and managing large-scale ecommerce operations.Experience with ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and digital marketing tools.Strong understanding of ecommerce best practices, digital marketing, and UX/UI principles.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and ecommerce management platforms.Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Strategic thinker with a growth mindset.Highly organized with strong attention to detail, prioritization skills, and good time managementAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Innovative and forward-thinking.
