Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our growing team.

This position may split time between our Bellingham and Sedro-Woolley, WA offices with occasional travel between sites as needed for business purposes. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Controller in overseeing financial operations of the companyEnsure the accuracy and timeliness of financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payrollPerform detailed reviews of key GL accounts, investigate and correct any issuesDevelop expertise in assigned functional areas and provide updates to senior managementHelp manage the day-to-day accounting functions related to general accounting, project accounting, accounts receivable / payable, payroll and fixed assetsSupport management of the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reportingAssist with month-end closing and reporting, forecasting and expense managementBecome proficient in our SAP ERP systemCollaborate across the organization on solutions to complex problemsResolve high level financial reporting issues and assists FP&A in variance explanationsActively engage with Operations personnel to improve processes, actively support the management team, serving as the Controller when the Controller is off-siteAssist Controller with managing government cost accounting standards (CAS) implementation & supportWillingness to learn about and provide support for government contract audits & DCAA compliant accounting system design and implementationSupport Manufacturing Operations with cost accounting expertise andUnder minimal supervision, responsible for coordinating and reporting various activities as they relate to producing financial informationTake on ad hoc financial projects as assigned by the company President and CFOQUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

BA in Finance or Accounting, or related field, and at least three years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or similar fields, preferably in aerospace or as a government contractorDemonstrated high level of academic and professional accomplishmentMust have or be in the process of obtaining a CPA licenseExtremely organized with strong investigative and follow-up skills as well as attention to detailsAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writingADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Salary range for this role is between

$80,000 - $110,000 , plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.BENEFITS
