This fantastic opportunity will be targeted to Assistant Controller candidates who have worked in the hospital inpatient acute care setting. The Hospital Assistant Controller will be part of a hospital that is dedicated to providing the best care possible for residents of the communities.
The Assistant Controller CPA will join a premier medical facility that provides all traditional hospital services, including emergency, critical care, birthing, pediatrics, cardiology, surgery, imaging, laboratory, rehabilitation, home health, hospice and community education. The hospital is also financially stable and growing.
The Hospital Assistant Controller will be accountable for developing, implementing and directing the accounting functions of the Medical Center including general ledger, accounts payable, and budgeting. Leads the activities of the Accounting Department, prioritizing and directing workflow as needed. Proficient in general accounting with ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Bulletins (FASB).
The Assistant Controller CPA will oversee the capital asset management process and develop and prepare capital asset reports for the Controller and Chief Financial Officer to review. The Assistant Controller will ensure all federal and state reporting and regulatory reports are completed and filed as required. Ensures the timely and accurate close of the organization’s financial records each month and at year-end, and directs departmental activity necessary for a smooth and accurate audit. Performs other duties as assigned.
The ideal Hospital Assistant Controller candidate will have their CPA License, four year degree in Accounting or Finance, and will have five years of experience in healthcare finance/accounting.
