You will be part of the change, and your contributions will provide an immediate and lasting impact, helping us achieve what’s possible.Job DescriptionThe Director FP&A leads budgeting, analysis and reporting delivery to support Sales, Manufacturing Operations, Distribution Operations and Corporate SG&A. The Director will effectively develop and deliver forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analysis to senior levels of business and executive management. In addition, this position will lead in the evaluation of new business and new locations ensuring that sales, pricing and cost estimates are accurate and reasonable.OBJECTIVES:Develop strategic relationships across various parts and levels of the business, leveraging core responsibilities of the position to create business valueDevelop and deliver timely and accurate forecast, budgets, reports and analysis for assigned business unitsMeasurably improve assigned business units operational and financial performance through industry accepted financial practices.DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and deliver forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and analysisIdentify and analyze operational results to identify opportunities for improvement and partner with Operations to drive improvementsDevelop reporting tools to better facilitate communication between Sales and Operations to increase sales growthLeverage business process knowledge and data querying skills to obtain / validate / analyze data. As necessary, present data and relevant conclusions to management, sales, operations and other business unit stakeholdersAnalyze information requests, assess current sources, and determine best (i.e. effective and efficient) means to meet information needsCompile routine and ad hoc research & analysis in support of managements business unit objectivesLead other members of FP&A Team in the successful delivery of work productOther duties as assignedKEY RELATIONSHIPS:Sales and Operations ManagementManufacturing Finance and OperationsTreasuryQualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelors degree in Finance or Accounting, with an MBA preferred8-15 years of successful, progressive career development in a corporate or consulting FP&A roleProficiency in Excel (Pivot Table, Formulas, Standard Reports, etc.)Proficiency with delivering analysis and SG&A experienceExperience in financial reporting and variance analysisExperience with Data analyticsStrong technical and interpersonal skillsAdditional informationAssociated Materials is a leader in exterior building products for residential and commercial remodeling and new construction markets.
