Operations Specialist I/II - Loan Servicing (Quality Control)

Overview
This is a hybrid role (after the initial training period), with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.This Operations Specialist I/II position on the loan servicing team Quality Control of account maintenance performed by an associate in banks ancillary system was accurately inputted. Facilitates processes and associate workflow while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and policies. Maintains records or systems crucial for business operations. Answers inquiries and resolves issues, updating department records or systems accordingly, in alignment with service standards and businessResponsibilities
Service - Answers inbound communications to service accounts, fulfill requests, or address issues. Determines target needs and provides resolution while maintaining a high standard of service.Operational Support - Performs various operational tasks that occur during customer, vendor, and associate inquiries. Streamlines the workflow for other associates within the business unit through operational activities.Review of loan maintenance ensuring the compliance with the loan terms and supporting documentation.Review of designated monetary transactions for accuracy, proper authorization, validating computations, such as interest adjustments, prepayment calculations, etc.Documentation - Handles standard documentation associated with daily activities, which may include processing, reviewing, or distributing materials. Maintains and updates department records either physically or within a system.Business Proficiency - Provides knowledge in area of work. Reviews and maintains knowledge of any laws, regulations, and policies that affect specific job duties to produce work that is accurate, efficient, and compliant. Utilizes product, system, or process familiarity to resolve problems and handle customer requests.Instruct associates and manger on findings that require correction/review and confirms proper correction.Supports internal/external audits and examinations providing supporting documentation in a timely manner.Completes all special projects as requested.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and 1 years of experience in Clerical or administrativeAdditional Preferred QualificationsBanking experience or accounting experience preferredLoan experience preferredExperience with journal entries and general ledgers preferredStrong attention to detailAbility to work in a high volume, fast paced environmentFirst Citizens benefits programs are designed to meet our associates where they are in life.
