About the role

The Operational Excellence Lead (OPEX Lead), based at our Adelaide Manufacturing Plant is a pivotal role which will work alongside the site-based leadership team to drive and support the implementation and sustainment of the MCC Operational Excellence framework. This role will lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives to drive good safety outcomes, increase quality standards, improve production efficiencies and unlock cost-savings to hit the bottom-line.

This role must collaborate with the broader team to deliver on business objectives and build an inclusive performance culture, driving best-practice manufacturing processes through the use of Lean tools, Project Management and Change Management skills.

Duties include:

Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture.Identify and lead initiatives to deliver savings using the appropriate improvement methodologies (DMAIC, 6S, SMED, Kaizen, RCA, VSM, TPM, Standard Work and Visual Management).Implement best practice metrics to improve and report on commercial and operational outcomes through Visual Management (MDI incl HxH and SQDC Boards).Facilitate and provide coaching to operational teams on deployment of CI practices to analyse current state, identify opportunities and build the foundations for future state.Analysis of complex data sets to identify improvement opportunities for end-to-end business.Collaborate with cross functional business stakeholders to build a robust pipeline of improvement opportunities.Act as a change agent, providing guidance and direction for implementation; and appropriate follow-up to ensure sustainability and accountability.Provide leadership, coaching and support to Leaders on Operational Excellence best practice.About you

Passionate about manufacturing, operations and continuous improvement.Experience and proven delivery in leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives using various Lean methodologies.Experience in workshop facilitation (Kaizen) and leading training sessions.Have a strong financial acumen linking CI initiatives to EBITDA improvement outcomes.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Exceptional communicator, with ability to influence a variety of stakeholders.The benefits
