SeKON is looking for a Configuration Manager to join our talented and innovative team supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in San Antonio, TX. As a Configuration Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in adhering to best practices for documenting and managing all configuration changes and associated downtimes for the enterprise. Your responsibilities will include maintaining full traceability of configurable items using the DHA asset management system (currently MHS ServiceNow), and ensuring effective documentation, scheduling, and execution of configuration changes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow standard configuration management practices and procedures, including maintaining configuration baselines and providing input to DHA Configuration Control Boards.Support formal configuration baselining processes to ensure hardware and software revisions are fully documented, including functionality and interfaces with other systems/tools.Assist in the establishment and management of new Configurable Items (CI) as new releases or infrastructure changes are deployed, ensuring traceability from production stages.Use the Configuration Management (CM) module within the preferred DHA ITSM Tool (i.e., MHS ServiceNow) to monitor, maintain, and enhance CIs, ensuring proper documentation, control, and compliance.Ensure that all changes to systems, infrastructures, and services are documented, controlled, and compliant with the DHA Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes.Perform all configuration management activities according to industry best practices, ensuring status reports are provided to the Government within 24 hours of request.Collaborate with Government teams to support DHA CMDB processes and ensure that all CM data collection aligns with the Government's ITSM tool and DHA configuration management plans.Problem Management:
Identify and manage the root causes of IT service incidents, not only resolving incidents but analyzing the underlying causes to prevent recurrence and eliminate root causes.REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Active DoD Secret Clearance required.Strong consulting and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across fast-paced and dynamic teams and at various levels of leadership.Strong understanding of Joint Health Service Support or Defense Health Agency processes.Superior verbal and written communication skills.Proven ability to present effectively to senior government officials.Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with customers and program office members in a multi-vendor environment.Willingness to serve in various ad hoc roles, including contributing to proposal efforts and participating in hiring processes.
