Senior Project Manager II - Decatur, IL
Position Summary:
This is a salaried, exempt-level position. This position reports in collaboration with an established team to the Capex Regional Manager, overseeing projects in Decatur, IL.
Job Purpose and Impact:
The Project Manager will partner with the business units and cross-functional ADM stakeholders to manage expectations for project scope, schedule and budget.
This person will facilitate buy-in for project implementations while collaborating with a team of professionals to execute on various project initiatives.
In this role, you will ensure high-quality work for projects with high financial impact and significance.
Key Responsibilities:
Define project scope and plan the delivery of projects according a roles & responsibility matrixExecute the project, including costing and implementation according the Front End Loading (FEL) guidelinesAssure monthly project reporting to the stakeholders through FEL, execution, commissioning, and capitalization and closureManage scope change and risk management escalation processesMaintain compliance with local legislation and ADM requirements for permitting, safety legislation, quality assurance, HACCP, GMP, HAZOPSupport and drive contractor safety through the use of preventative action plans and safety metricsAssure that the safety and reliability of existing equipment is maintained during project implementationCoordinate the team development of all necessary documentation for commissioning, training, maintenance and maintain all records required by legislation and policiesCoordinate and provide direction to contractual partners for project execution including the use of a well-maintained work breakdown structureEstablish project structure and coordination with project steering committee according project governance guidelinesRequired Qualifications:
Experience managing several industrial capital construction projectsExperience with cost engineering and key performance indicatorsExperience with industrial process project planning and scheduling with multi-craft tradesExperience with industrial process project commissioning means and methodsProficiency with use of Microsoft Project, Primavera or other resource loaded scheduling toolsKnowledge of enterprise management systemsProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent interpersonal English fluency communication skills, experience using written and verbal communication skills effectivelyPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical field, preferably in combination with project management engineeringCertified Project Manager or willingness to obtain certificationAbility to work with EPC and EPCM (engineering procurement/construction management) firmsExperience with execution on renovation and brownfield projects or related experienceKnowledge of SharePoint beneficialExcited about this role but don't meet every requirement listed?
