Senior Project Manager
to join our growing team operating out of our
Wheeling, WV
office!
Primary Responsibilities:The project manager leads and manages the project team, with the authority and responsibility to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Reports to the Vice President of Construction Services.Foster customer relationships and work collaboratively with all internal and external groups to effectively and efficiently meet clients' needs.Conduct timely and complete turnover meetings to transfer information from those who estimated the project to those executing projects.Direct the pre-construction planning process, accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks and projects, develop schedules, anticipates and adjust for problems and roadblocks, and collaborate with project foremen to proactively resolve construction problems.Sets objectives and goals with specific measures in conjunction with Field Leadership (Supt/Foreman).Effectively procures and coordinate materials, equipment, tradesmen, and subcontractors to maximize project profitability.Establish costs for labor equipment, materials, subcontractors and other direct job costs.Proactively monitors costs and reacts to variations quickly; monitors labor reporting system to effectively control productivity; ensures financial success of project.Establishes Schedule of Values, develop project schedule, and ensure timely monthly billingsEstablishes cash flow projections for the project.Manage project risks, by identifying the risks and mitigation plan.Develops recommend methods and/or improvements based on project needs and resource capabilities.Forecasting Project Financial Progress.Knowledge and Skills Qualifications:
Minimum experience of 5 years in Mechanical Project Management.Excellent knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and process piping, hydronics, refrigeration, equipment, materials, and installation process in pre-construction, new construction, design/build, value engineering and other services.Capable of writing notification letters, RFIs, Purchase Orders, Change Orders, etc.Capable of managing projects valued at $1 - $6 MillionWorks collaboratively with key internal/external partners to prepare pre-bid competitive analysis.Maintains a cost database for materials, schedules and laborStays knowledgeable of the systems being installed.Continuously updates knowledge of the most cost effective means of installationBenefits:
