HRI, Inc., a leader in heavy civil construction since 1947, has an opening for an energetic Human Resources Intern.The Human Resources Intern position is within our corporate office where we support over 500 employees who lead the industry in water/sewer treatment plant construction, bridge repair and construction, asphalt manufacturing, paving, and site development.The
Human Resources Intern
position will report to the Human Resources Manager and will be responsible for a variety of duties.Main Responsibilities
Scanning sensitive documents into an online data retention systemProcessing unemployment in multiple statesPreparing New Hire packets and processing MVR searchesAssist with recruitment efforts, including job posting, candidate screening, and scheduling interviewsVisiting job sites to review EEO posting requirementsStreamline various HR processes, such as employee data management and performance tracking, through HRIS systemsSupport the onboarding process for new employees, including preparation of necessary paperwork and conducting orientationsEducation
Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in human resources or another related field is preferred, although equivalent experience will also be considered.Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Proven track record in a fast paced environmentAbility to work with and connect with cross-functional teamsStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibilityMotivation and strong desire to tackle new challenges and learn as much as possible!Physical Requirements
