Strategic Sourcing Specialist

ENABLE your future through light. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for assigned commodities. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company. Identify gaps within existing supply base and identify new strategic suppliers Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain. Lead and facilitate quarterly business reviews on strategic suppliers Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, commodity price fluctuations, and supply chain issues. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and work with the production team to forecast material needs. Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays and excess inventory. Quality and Compliance: Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that purchased materials meet required specifications and standards. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in procurement activities. Cost Management: Analyze and report on cost savings and procurement performance metrics. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to understand material requirements and resolve any supply-related issues. Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and product lifecycle management. Ability to develop internal/external relationships and compile, curate and present data to influence and inform key decision makers Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance. Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and market trends to management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPP) is a plus. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency within SAP (or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and market dynamics. Pay Range: $75,000-$95,000 per year, depending on experience.
