Job Overview: The Strategic Sourcing Director for Ingredients will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for a wide range of ingredients. This role will focus on optimizing supplier relationships, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring the highest quality standards while aligning with the company's overall goals.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Development:- Create and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for ingredients that align with business objectives.- Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for sourcing improvements.Supplier Management:- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, ensuring a diverse and reliable supply base.- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and innovation.Cost Management:- Lead negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.- Monitor and manage ingredient costs to achieve budget targets and drive cost savings initiatives.Cross-Functional Collaboration:- Work closely with R&D, production, and marketing teams to understand ingredient needs and support product development initiatives.- Communicate sourcing strategies and updates to stakeholders across the organization.Risk Management:- Assess and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and price volatility.- Develop contingency plans to ensure a reliable supply of ingredients.Reporting and Analytics:- Track and report on sourcing metrics, supplier performance, and market conditions.- Utilize data analysis to inform sourcing decisions and strategic planning.**Qualifications:**- **Education:**- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Science, or a related field.
