The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst for Electrical components is responsible for managing and optimizing the supply chain of electrical materials and components. This role involves analyzing market trends, negotiating with suppliers, and developing sourcing strategies to reduce costs, enhance supplier performance, and ensure quality. Working closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams, the analyst drives strategic initiatives to achieve the organization's goals for sourcing efficiency and quality standards.
Job Description
Supplier Strategy and Sourcing:
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electrical components, including motors, wiring, connectors, circuit boards, etc. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and reliability.Market Analysis:
Conduct in-depth analysis of the electrical components market, tracking price trends, supply risks, and emerging technologies. Use data insights to make recommendations for sourcing adjustments and risk mitigation.Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting regular performance evaluations and negotiating contracts to achieve favorable terms.Cost Optimization:
Drive cost savings initiatives by identifying opportunities for negotiation, consolidating supplier base, and implementing strategies such as value engineering, lean manufacturing, or alternative sourcing.Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with engineering, quality, logistics, and production teams to ensure alignment on product specifications, sourcing requirements, and delivery schedules.Contract Negotiation:
Negotiate long-term contracts and develop agreements to secure supply and establish price stability. Address terms related to warranties, lead times, and payment conditions.Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including single-sourcing issues, supplier financial stability, and disruptions. Develop contingency plans as needed.Reporting and Data Management:

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree or industry certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is preferred.5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, preferably in the electrical or electronics industry.Strong knowledge of electrical components, market trends, and suppliers.Proven negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms.Proficiency in data analysis tools and sourcing software (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle).Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail and analytical skills.
