Job Description Summary:
This position provides key oversight and plays a pivotal role within the day-to-day activities of the Logan Health (LH) system. Provides support and works with the key operations stakeholders to ensure the LH performance goals, projections and data reporting needs are continually improving and/or met. This position is vital to the operational excellence team and objectives that entail quality, financial, operational and other business goals that drive the system key strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Possess one (1) of the following requirements as defined for Clinical or Non-Clinical area:
Clinical:
Current Montana RN License or a multi state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; or
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or healthcare related field
Non-Clinical:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field; or
Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience
Project Management certification or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years’ in a Healthcare environment required. Minimum of one (1) year leadership experience preferred.
Must possess mastery in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) required. Possess ability to learn other software as needed.
Previous experience interpreting and analyzing data to design and build meaningful analytical tools to meet the customers’ needs, required. Experience with Microstrategy preferred.
Demonstrated skill in analyzing large amounts of data and quickly adapting to a fast-paced, continually changing environment required.
Previous experience guiding individuals and groups toward desired outcomes, setting high performance standards, and delivering leading quality services required.
Experience applying methodology and leading large-scale projects working across multiple function groups required.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Job Specific Duties:
Proactively prioritizes organizational needs and effectively manages resources.
Owns all aspects of assigned performance improvement work stream key initiatives that require execution with a focus on delivering high quality outcomes on time.
Regularly reports the status of performance improvement efforts and its organizational impacts.
Effectively utilizes Lean process improvement methodology and tools throughout the system to assist with continuous improvement of key performance measures.
Acts as an advisor to the Executive Leadership Team while operating in an autonomous manner.
Advises leadership on progress, problem-solving, and solution development. Accurately performs identification and measurement of business goals and projections.
Guides individuals and groups toward desired outcomes, sets high performance standards and delivers leading quality services.
Communicates clearly and concisely, exhibits knowledge regarding operational processes and leadership skills.
Collaborates with team members to develop and deliver quality and process improvement courses and training materials.
Maintains strong relationships with other system leaders.
Collects, measures, and analyzes operational performance and initiates, develops and recommends improvements of relevant key performance indicators. Produces reports based on system operations.
Ensures stakeholders receive accurate performance data through various reporting mediums in a timely manner.
Designs and builds reports and dashboards by understanding and interpreting the data needs of the customer while maintaining an exceptional level of customer service.
Collaborates with developers to build backend data sets for analysis and contributes in validating the accuracy of the data.
Adheres to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best interest of LH and fully supports the LH Mission Philosophy and core values.
