Description

As a Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the quality and configurations of TURION's fleet of satellites and subsystems. The primary duties include owning our in-house configuration management process including ECO's part numbers, and release process. You will also be reviewing and internally auditing technical documents and procedures for build, testing, and operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesConfiguration Control: Develop and implement configuration management plans and processes. Ensure that all product configurations are documented and controlled throughout the lifecycle.Change Management: Manage the change control process, including evaluating, approving, and documenting changes to product configurations. Coordinate with engineering, production, and other stakeholders to assess the impact of changes.Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date configuration documentation, including configuration records, change logs, and configuration baselines. Ensure that all configuration documents are properly archived and accessible.Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies related to configuration management. Conduct audits and reviews to verify adherence to configuration management processes.Coordination: Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure that configuration requirements are understood and implemented effectively. Provide support for configuration-related issues and inquiries.Reporting: Prepare and present configuration management reports and metrics to management. Track and report on configuration status, change impacts, and compliance levels.Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience: 3+ years of experience in configuration management or a similar role, with experience managing configurations for complex products.Technical Skills: Proficiency with configuration management tools and software (e.g., IBM Rational ClearCase, PTC Windchill). Strong understanding of configuration management principles and best practices.Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple configurations and changes simultaneously.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing configuration records and documentation.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and provide clear documentation.Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience: 5+ years of experience in configuration management, with experience in aerospace or high-tech industries preferred.Advanced Skills: Expertise in advanced configuration management techniques and tools. Experience with configuration management for aerospace or space technology systems.Certifications: Relevant certifications in configuration management or project management (e.g., Certified Configuration Management Professional (CCMP), Project Management Professional (PMP)) are a plus.Industry Experience: Familiarity with aerospace or space technology sectors, including understanding of configuration management needs for complex and mission-critical systems.Innovation: Demonstrated ability to drive improvements in configuration management processes and implement innovative solutions.ITAR Requirements:
