A leading Consulting Firm supporting 2,000 Designers for Silicon Chips & Electronics is hiring a Linux Systems Administrator to work in Redmond, WA three days a week. This company has been operating for over 20 years and profitable.
This Linux Systems Administrator will focus on managing and maintaining the Linux Servers at scale; there are 20,000 systems and counting. The environment is primarily High performance Computing Servers (HPC Servers) running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). To be successful in this role, the Linux Systems Administrator must have a strong background in troubleshooting Linux and a deep understanding of core infrastructure services such as DNS, LDAP, NIS, NTP, and DHCP. The environment also includes RedHat suite of tools such Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Satellite, RedHat Directory Server, and RedHat Identity Management (IdM).

Required Skills & Experience4+ years of Linux Systems Administration, specifically for on-premise environments virtualized with tools like VMware.Strong experience with Red Hat or RHEL, especially troubleshooting.Strong with most core infrastructure services including DNS, LDAP, NIS, NTP, DHCP, etc.Strong scripting (Shell/Bash, Python, Perl, etc.)Experience with Ansible.Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC).Experience with setting up monitoring services, preferably Splunk.Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, etc)Red Hat Suite of tools including OpenShift, Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Satellite, Foreman, etc.Experience with KubernetesWhat You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown
