Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned. Plans, organizes, and effectively conducts employee onboarding & ongoing training on various skills, policy, and compliance areas. Facilitate new hire training to prepare new employees for their roles in a manufacturing environment in partnership with human resources and line managers. Researches and identifies areas in which training is required and/or beneficial. Evaluates and modifies existing or proposed programs; suggests and implements suitable changes. Designs, drafts, and/or acquires new training materials. Collaborates with production Supervisors, Leads and Managers to deliver training as needed. Administers, scores, and logs results of qualification, learning assessment, and retention tests; arranges retraining or other appropriate action for insufficient scores. Facilitates delivery of training by reserving and setting up needed audiovisual equipment and training rooms; scheduling training times with attendees; preparing and distributing training aids such as handouts; and performing other related tasks. Supports the efforts of record keeping with reporting and analytics for Operations topics and needs. Performs other related duties, as required
Job Requirements
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Prior experience working as a Machinist in a production environment desired. Basic understanding of CNC Machine Operations and Controls, ability to read blueprints, ability to perform measurements using calipers, micrometers. Must have an operator level understanding of machinery used i.e., Mills, Turning, Swiss, Lathes, basic Welding Knowledge of the functionality of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Epicor or Oracle preferred Ability to set and maintain deadlines independently, under limited supervision Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods. Ability to design and implement effective training. Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software. Desired Education, Certifications and Experience Bachelor's Degree in related area required. At least two years of experience in related field highly desired.
