Looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative, dynamic, and winning team in building controls and automation? Join our controls product management team as we redefine what it means to optimize smart building performance.
Your primary focus will be providing building controls sales support to our commercial sales organization and other distribution channels with an emphasis educating account managers about Trane’s HVAC controls product and service offerings. You will develop strong Trane commercial sales organizational relationships and use your controls systems knowledge to enable successful sales solutions for Trane’s controls business.
What you will do (Essential functions):
Liaison with Trane sales offices and the controls product management team to provide field feedback and successfully commercialize controls offerings,
Provide accurate and timely sales support on large, complex controls projects including spec reviews, cyber security inquiries, presentations, demonstrations, and competitive strategies.
Specify and develop sales tools or sales tool enhancements as needed to support growth objectives. Tools include guide specifications, product demos, customer presentation templates, and competitive analysis.
Work with IT and Engineering cyber security teams to understand industry trends and standards, improve standard work processes, provide timely support, and communicate best practices to the field.
Assist with development and delivery of controls product training and sales strategy for the Trane Graduate Training Programs, sales seminars, and webinars
Provide product presentation and demonstration coaching to the field, as well as direct presentation support for key customers, vertical markets, and projects
Work with marketing and product commercialization teams to prepare sales tools and training for successful product launches.
Provide feedback on market and competitive trends in the field and how they impact sales opportunities for Trane.

Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or a related field of study
Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC industry experience with a focus on building control systems and HVAC Systems with some sales or business development or equivalent experience.
Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment
Ability to travel independently up to 25% of the time
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $100,000 - $150,000
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
