A construction services company in California is looking to add an experienced professional to their team as their newVice President of Safety & Fleet. In this role, the Vice President of Safety & Fleetwill be responsible for leading and overseeing all safety and fleet management operations within the company.

Responsibilities:

TheVice President of Safety & Fleetwill:

Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Lead a culture of safety awareness, continuous improvement, and accountability throughout the organization. Oversee and optimize the management and maintenance of the company's fleet, including trucks, vehicles, and equipment Implement cost-effective fleet management strategies, including maintenance schedules, fuel efficiency, and replacement schedules Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for team members Build and lead a high-performing Safety &Fleet Management team Identify and assess potential safety and fleet-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them Develop and manage the safety and fleet budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources Provide regular reports to senior leadership on safety and fleet performance, KPIs, and recommendations for improvements Lead and supervise a team of Safety Managers and Regional Safety Coordinators across various locations Ensure that Safety Managers and Regional Safety Coordinators stay up to date with the latest safety regulations and industry trends Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in Safety & Fleet Management Bachelor's Degree in a related field Previous experience in a Leadership and/or Supervisory role Strong knowledge of Safety regulations and compliance, as well as Fleet Management best practices Experience in managing budgets and driving cost-effective solutions Solid analytical and problem solving skills Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized

Desired Skills:

Master's Degree Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Fleet Manager (CFM) designation Experience working in the Construction and/or Distribution industry
