The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with focus on data engineering to join our Team. You will play a pivotal role in designing and developing innovative features on our data pipeline end to end which process around a few PetaBytes of data on a daily basis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical innovation and deliver robust solutions that meet our business needs.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and deploy end to end features on our Data Pipeline and maintain them, including ETL pipelines, Data Warehousing solutions, Data Architecture, Data Cataloging, Data Delivery Solutions and Data Access Libraries.
Collaborate with various teams to design and develop means of data hand-off.
Identify and address performance bottlenecks. Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Conduct code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure high code quality and adherence to best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related engineering field.
3+ years of experience in data engineering.
Proficiency in programming languages like Scala and Python for developing data pipelines.
Strong familiarity with tools and frameworks like Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, ElasticSearch and Airflow.
Experience in working with relational and non-relational databases.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins.
Proficiency in writing and maintaining unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred:
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
Prior experience working on Databricks and AWS.
Familiarity with Community Detection Algorithms and Graph Databases like Neo4j.
Ability to pick up new languages like Golang and Node.js.
Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Pulumi and Terraform among others.
