TheDepartment of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine
at the University ofNew Mexico is seeking an exceptional candidate for a
full-time position as ClinicalVice Chief of Anesthesia Service (CVSCA)
at the University of New MexicoHospital (UNMH) - Sandoval Regional Medical Center (SRMC) campus. The CVSCAwill
additionally serve as the Medical Director of SRMC preoperative services .
The selected candidate will be a clinicianeducator employed by the University of New Mexico Department of Anesthesiologyand Critical Care Medicine at the academic rank of assistant, associate, orprofessor, dependent upon level of academic experience.
The selected candidate must be board certifiedin Anesthesiology.
TheClinical Vice Chief of Anesthesia Service
serves an integral part of thedepartmental leadership team reporting directly to the Chair and Chief ofService of Anesthesiology, for all coordination, communication, and operationalsupport that is provided at SRMC.
NewMexico boasts 300+ sunny days per year and is a prime location for outdooractivities such as climbing, hiking, skiing, and more! Albuquerque alone offersmore than 400 miles of hiking trails.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:Must hold unrestricted medical licenseMust hold M.D. or equivalentMust be Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology .Preferred Qualifications:Resident Teaching ExperienceResearch and Scholarly ActivitiesExperience in Trauma Call AssignmentsExperience directing and planning of anesthesia functionsExperience managing anesthesia personnelExperience developing quality of care initiativesA demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
