.The Role:Provides comprehensive medical services and functions as an independent healthcare provider for gastroenterology.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.Prescribes or administers pharmaceuticals, other medications, immunizations, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.Provides health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.Monitors patients' conditions and progress, re-evaluating treatments, and explains procedures and test results or prescribed treatments with patients.Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.May manage the daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or research function.Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.As appropriate to the position, participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.Must be HIPAA compliant.Experience:Medical doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with 3 to 5 years of directly related experience which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty.License(s):Federal DEA Certification: Medical Specialty License or Certification, Board Certified or Board eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty.Certification(s):N/AComputer / Typing:Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.Education:Medical Doctor or Doctor in Osteopathic Medicine.Physician Benefits at Vail Health Include:Competitive Wages & Family Benefits:

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.Hourly Pay: $250—$350 USD
