Discussed during interviewPosition SummaryMonmouth University seeks a dynamic, accomplished and visionary leader to serve as the Dean of the School of Education. The Dean provides overall leadership for the school and reports directly to the Provost/Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. The anticipated start date for this position is January 1, 2025.

The ideal candidate will possess a doctoral degree in education or related field, have strong knowledge and experience of K-12 School Partnerships theory and practice, experience in college teaching and accreditation processes. They will be able to maintain a progressive educational vision based on international, national and local trends and standards, and will lead the school with the implementation of the University’s Strategic Plan.
The School of Education offers programs that prepare a wide range of professionals, such as teachers, school counselors, principals, speech-language pathologists, and student affairs professionals. Through the Dean’s Office, Office of Certification, Field Placements and School Partnerships, and the four academic departments, the school prepares students to move forward as educational leaders, both inside the classroom and in the local schools and communities. The four School departments include: Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Counseling & Leadership, Special Education, and Speech-Language Pathology.
