The key responsibilities include:Operation of small diggers and loaders to excavate and backfill Watercare assets.Operate and maintain wastewater reticulation network.Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on wastewater infrastructure.Maintain over 120 wastewater pump stations in the Waikato region.Repair gravity and pressure rising wastewater mains.Attend an on-call roster for emergency repairs and maintenance.You will be an excellent communicator, engaging with a high standard of customer service as you will regularly interact with our customers and members of the public.In this role you will bring:Level 3 or 4 certification in Wastewater Reticulation.Demonstrated experience in wastewater management.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Minimum Full Class 1 Driver’s Licence, WTR and Class 2 would be advantageous.Ability to work on a roster which will include shift work/standby/weekends.Confident operating a variety of hand tools.You will be an excellent communicator, engaging with a high standard of customer service as you will regularly interact with our customers and members of the public.
