ROLE OVERIVEW
PURPOSE OF JOB
As a Senior IT Support Administrator, you will provide advanced technical support to JTC staff across different locations, taking a lead role in managing IT service requests, troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of IT systems and applications. You will mentor junior staff, deliver advanced user training, document IT procedures, and collaborate with various stakeholders, including other IT team members and external vendors, to ensure comprehensive IT solutions and smooth operations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Respond to and resolve complex IT helpdesk tickets in a timely and professional manner, including escalations from junior staff.
Support, maintain, and optimise Active Directory, Citrix, Office 365, SharePoint, and other core IT systems and applications.
Install, configure, and update computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications, ensuring all systems function efficiently.
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation and knowledge base articles on advanced IT issues and resolutions.
Mentor junior IT staff, providing guidance and support on complex technical issues and professional development.
Work closely with other IT team members, developers, system administrators, and vendors to resolve complex issues and ensure seamless operations.
Support acquisition processes and integrate new systems and procedures into existing IT infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Microsoft (e.g., MS100, MD100), CompTIA, ITIL.
Relevant experience in a similar IT support role.
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work independently.
High degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
Experience with service desk applications and ITIL methodologies.
Familiarity with Citrix, Viewpoint, SharePoint, Mitel, and email filtering systems is an advantage.
