About the Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for our NG-SIEM Product Group. NG-SIEM is powered by one of the highest-scale event search and detection platforms anywhere in the cyber-security industry. In this role, you will own building and ensuring the proper operation of the distributed test and release automation that ensures the quality of this platform. The ideal candidate has a passion for ensuring software quality, developing robust test automation solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

Lead the design and development of scalable and efficient automated testing architecture

Build and guide the end-to-end release automation for all of our releasable entities

Collaborate closely with engineering teams, operations teams, release management team and various stakeholders across the organization

Act as a technical and thought leader for quality assurance practices

Thrive in hands-on coding environment, leading by example in crafting solutions with the big picture in mind

Navigate and manage ambiguity while delivering innovative solutions

What You'll Need:

Extensive experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation

Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale test automation frameworks

Expert-level proficiency in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#

Experience with testing tools, and best practices (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

In-depth knowledge of various testing methodologies: behavior, functional, performance, unit, security, contract, etc.

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to lead and mentor a team of SDETs

Bonus Points:

Experience with large-scale log management products, particularly those handling ingest volumes of double-digit petabytes per day

Exposure to or experience with cybersecurity products

Existing exposure to Go, Kafka, GraphQL, Kubernetes, Jenkins

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $135,000 - $210,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
