Intermediate Systems Engineer
to join a dynamic and multi-disciplined organization involved in innovating solutions for complex technical systems. MITRE seeks professionals with various expertise (e.g. software tools, processes, DevSecOps, CI/CD, MLOps, AI-Enabled Systems, cloud services, agile methodologies, transition design, etc.) to work with a team of experienced experts working in digital transformation efforts.Job Description:You will help solve problems for government customers in collaboration with stakeholders from private, federal, state, and local sectors. Specific responsibilities will include:Develop solutions as a full stack developer involving frontend and backend applications and servicesLeverage and build AI-Enabled Systems and tools to implement government solutionsWork as an individual contributor or be part of a team delivering complex solutions using Software Development Lifecycle principlesBuild, administer and manage processes that introduce DevOps concepts of testing, prototyping, security, automation, etc.Treat all challenges as opportunities to learn, excel and deliver state of the art solutions to solve the nation’s problemsBasic Qualifications:B.S. Computer Science or related discipline, +2 years of applicable DevOps and related software lifecycle experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a US government clearanceProfessional experience in software development process, tools and languages including Java, Python, SQL, JavaScript, XML, JSON, HTML/CSS, Shell, C/C++, C#, Ruby, Go, MySQL, MongoDB, and GitProficient in using software such as IntelliJ, VS Code, PyCharm, Eclipse, MySQL Workbench, and GitExperience with code merging and promotion and building and managing CI/CD workflows and toolsUnderstanding of microservices and distributed application architectureKey skills include Agile Development, CI/CD, SCRUM, and System DesignMust have demonstrated proficiency and strength in verbal, written, presentation, and communications skillsPreferred Qualifications:Preference given to qualified candidates with active clearance.Experience in developing and implementing AI-Enabled systems and familiarity with Machine Learning algorithms and Deep Learning frameworksKnowledge of AI programming languages and platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or KerasExperience with AI-related cloud services like AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform, or Azure Machine Learning.Experience with Chef, Puppet or Ansible and Docker-Compose in production environmentsAdvanced understanding of architecting and automating cloud native technologies; provisioning IaC, IaaS, or SaaS; and deploying applicationsAdvanced skills in Data Management including proficiency in using advanced software such as Hive, Hadoop, and Jenkins is a plusThis requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):NoneThis requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s):SecretWork Location Type:HybridMITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
