If this sounds like the choice you want to make, then choose MITRE—and make a difference with us.Department Summary:MITRE’s Responsive Operational Planning Department in the Air Operations Division of the Air & Space Forces Center helps the Air Force provide the warfighter with Command and Control (C2) capabilities to gain a competitive edge in air superiority against peer adversaries. Their mission is to enable the Air Force to deliver effective C2 capabilities through continuous delivery, agile development, and DevSecOps.Roles & Responsibilities:Lead the development and integration of complex systems for Air Force C2 capabilities.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project alignment and success.Implement and oversee agile and DevSecOps methodologies to improve system delivery.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.Identify and resolve system engineering challenges and technical issues.Communicate project progress and technical insights to stakeholders.Basic Qualifications:Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Strong background in systems engineering and integration.Experience with agile development and DevSecOps practices.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with military or Air Force C2 systems.Knowledge of cloud computing and cybersecurity.Advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.Proven leadership experience in technical environments.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):
