Essential Functions
The primary functions of a half-time (.5), tenure-track faculty member in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences include:
Teaching graduate psychology courses.
Aiding students in their clinical training.
Guiding students in their research activities.
Participating in academic research.
Producing scholarly presentations and publications.
Fully participating in University life, including committee work and other institutional activities.
Qualifications
Documented earned graduate degrees: Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology.
Several years of clinical experience and holds a current psychologist license in Washington State (or is license eligible in Washington State).
Ongoing research involvement in psychology.
Successful teaching experience at the university level.
Commitment to establishing and maintaining positive mentoring relationships with a diverse student body.
Commitment to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with faculty, staff, and the general constituency of Northwest University.
Commitment to diversity, intercultural education, and multicultural psychology, and to communicating the ethos of “psychology, culture, and social justice.”
Commitment to the development of skills in students through coaching, modeling, and direct instruction.
Deep personal commitment to Jesus Christ and the Spirit-filled life, demonstrating integration of faith and learning.

Compensation
$29,668 - $33,075, dependent on education and experience, based on an equitable scale for graduate level faculty.
