Under the authority of the Dean, the incumbent will serve as a liaison between the LSU School of Dentistry and its various constituents, including alumni, the dental community, and the community-at-large. The incumbent will directly manage alumni relations and publications to help the school achieve its objectives and strategic plans. Responsibilities include:Serving as writer/chief editor for public external school publications.Acting as a primary liaison with external dental organizations.Serving as point of contact for faculty in relation to LSU Health Foundation dental-related funds.Developing, overseeing, and managing various external committees.Staying abreast of current legislative issues that may affect the university in conjunction with the LSUHSC department of governmental affairs.Supervising coordinator’s activities in alumni events, graphic services, database, and office management.Minimum Qualifications:Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, Journalism, or other related degree.Experience:
Minimum of five years in Fund Raising, Development, Marketing, or Communications.Substitution:
Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or Public Administration may substitute for two years of experience.Preferred Qualifications:Preferred Education:
Master's degree.Preferred Experience:
Ten plus years in institutional advancement; familiarity with Raiser’s Edge software; grant/proposal writing; board/volunteer development; familiarity with graphic design software and Photoshop.Posting Number:
