Position Summary
Under the authority of the Dean, the incumbent will serve as a liaison between the LSU School of Dentistry and its various constituents, including alumni, the dental community, and the community-at-large. The incumbent will directly manage alumni relations and publications to help the school achieve its objectives and strategic plans. This includes serving as writer/chief editor for public external school publications; acting as a primary liaison with external dental organizations; serving as point of contact for faculty in relation to LSU Health Foundation dental-related funds; developing, overseeing, and managing various external committees; serving as a primary liaison with the LSUHSC Director of Information Services (media); supervising coordinator's activities in the areas of alumni events, graphic services, database and office management; and In conjunction with the LSUHSC department of governmental affairs, staying abreast and inform dean of current legislative issues that may affect the university.
