Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.We are looking for a/an Head of Warranty and Project Management to join our FE_Energy team in United States.Your main tasks and responsibilities:Manages all projects for SPUSADrives synergies between SPUSA and other Sulzer entities to maximize the benefits of a Global Virtual Factory environment. Streamlines PM processes to maximize efficiency and reduce cost.Performs supervisory function in SPUSA PM/Warranty department, including hiring, disciplining and performance reviewsEnsure order entry, initial project set up & hand-over with all contributing entities are performed on time and in qualityExecute any scope under SPUSA direct responsibility such as engineering, PO placement/follow up and logisticsIssue Inter-Company (I/C) PO’s, coordinating, and resolving I/C issuesIssue invoices and drive cash collectionPartner with I/C entities and legal/commercial to resolve customer claims and disputesOverall accountability for all warranty issues starting from claim notification until closure and lesson learned by partnering with key involved functions (PM, engineering, procurement, operations, legal/commercial, services)Overall accountability for all warranty project deliverables including but not limited to hardware, financial and commercial outputs, dispute management, customer satisfaction and on time deliveryOverall accountability for effective warranty project cost and where possible recovery of costs/income leading to profitabilityProvide counsel to Project Management offices on key negotiations with SPUSA customers; directly lead discussion and negotiation of large claims / commercial settlementsProvide accurate financial forecast (sales, cash) from I/C Sulzer entities, assess risks and opportunities and drive achievement of SPUSA financial targetsParticipate in project reviews. Act as the Senior Sponsor/Reviewer for large/complex projects as necessary.As a senior member of the PM leadership team, drive assigned global initiatives working closely with other regions and HQ to standardize procedures, harmonize tools and drive a Project-focused organizationDevelop and maintain KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to track project execution both for local and global reporting and project control purposesProject ManagementAct as leader of Process Improvement Team and initiate cross-functional process improvements for all facets of New Equipment project execution including lesson learned and feedback to Sales & Tendering.Drive continuous improvement and work with SPUSA management team to develop policies and procedures in support of the attainment of key project and warranty targets through disciplined and organized working practicesTo succeed in this role, you will need:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or closely related field, or equivalent education and experience combined is required.8 years’ technical pump and pumping system knowledge preferredStrong knowledge of accounting principlesStrong computer skills in use of WINDOWS/WORD/EXCEL/POWERPOINT/OUTLOOKStrong time management and project management skillStrong written and oral communication skillWhat we offer you:Paid time off and 12 company-paid holidays, plus paid time off to volunteer401(k) plan with a 6% company matchComprehensive benefits program that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term and long-term disabilityMotivating wellness programEmployee assistance programService awards at 5 yearsPaid paternal leaveGym reimbursementHealth savings account with employer matchingNo visa or work permit support can be provided for this role.Do you have a question about the role?
