Position Summary:
Participates as a member of the executive management team and provides administrative leadership and direction for Clinical Equipment Management, Plant Operations, Housekeeping, Nutritional Services, Construction Management, Real Estate, Cancer Services, Rehab Services, Pharmacy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology and Ultrasound.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Support the medical centers total quality management culture and values, as demonstrated through decision-making, process improvements, and interactions with others.
Coordinate activities with management team to identify and prioritize operational objectives and develop long range planning.
Oversight responsibility for management reporting systems, including budgetary, productivity, and quality assurance.
Recruit, develop, and evaluate performance of lead departmental management personnel.
Oversee preparation of annual departmental capital, operating, and staffing budgets.
Develop new methods, modalities and techniques for the provision of support services and integrate them into existing programs.
Attend and participate in pertinent workshops and seminars to keep abreast of current trends in health care and to maintain professional competence.
Assist in the long range and annual planning activities of the medical center.
Support special events that benefit the medical center and the community.
Performs other related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree
Five years of previous hospital managerial experience to include a demonstrated series of progressively more responsible health care positions or other relative experience.
Preferred:
MHA or MBA
ACHE Membership
