Position Overview:The

Director of Sales

will be responsible for leading and managing the sales department, driving revenue growth, and expanding the company’s market share. This role will involve the development and execution of comprehensive sales strategies, managing key client relationships, and collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure alignment with overall company goals. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, and possess a strong understanding of the technology consulting landscape.

Key Responsibilities:Demonstrated success utilizing multiple sales techniques toward converting leads to opportunities.Develop KPIs that accurately measure the sales team's activity and strength of pipeline to sales conversions.Implement and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve the company’s revenue goals and expand its customer base.Lead and manage the sales team, providing mentorship, setting performance metrics, and conducting regular performance evaluations.Establish and foster relationships with key decision-makers in target industries, nurturing long-term partnerships.Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to align sales and marketing strategies and ensure cohesive market positioning.Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals.Report directly to the CEO, providing regular updates on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends.Analyze market conditions, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine and adapt sales strategies.Develop and manage the sales department budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.Collaborate with the Director of Client Services for understanding KNZ’s capabilities toward driving sales, ensuring client satisfaction, and for the promotion of gold standard service delivery.Assist in the hiring, onboarding, and training of new sales team members.Provide insights on emerging sales technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve team efficiency.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, with at least 4 years in a leadership role, ideally in a technology or consulting services company.Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.Strong understanding of consultative selling strategies and the ability to manage long sales cycles.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.Experience working in a matrix reporting environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of adaptability.

Preferred Skills:Experience in project management, engineering, or technology consulting services.Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales performance tracking tools.Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and their impact on sales.
