Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2025.Demonstrated potential for effective teaching, mentoring, and advising of diverse students at the graduate level.Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and engaging effectively with a racially, linguistically, and socioeconomically diverse student population.Demonstrated history of working successfully with a diverse college student population, including Black/African American, Latine/x, Native American/Indigenous, low-income, first-generation, minoritized students, and varied immigration and citizenship status.Demonstrated evidence of, or potential to, develop and sustain, a productive research agenda using critical methodologies or theories to study community colleges, racialized experiences in higher education, and/or students, faculty or staff at minority serving institutions aligned with department, college, and university missions.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching graduate-level courses related to: diversity, equity and justice in U.S. higher education; research methods; assessment and institutional effectiveness; and student development theory.Demonstrated effectiveness with, or the potential for, teaching online and/or hybrid courses.Previous professional experience in counseling/advising and/or student affairs coordinator, managerial, or leadership positions in community colleges or 4-year higher education institutions.Experience and demonstrated effectiveness in instruction related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.Demonstrated effectiveness in the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, take initiative, communicate effectively, and work independently.Experience supporting students’ graduate-level writing.Demonstrated effectiveness in thesis and/or dissertation advising.Involvement in state, regional, and national professional associations.Experience using critical theories and/or critical methodologies.Duties:Teach master’s and doctoral level courses to new practitioners and working professionals.Chair theses and dissertations.Provide advising and support to graduate students throughout their experience.Conduct and disseminate research related to higher education and/or student affairs.Engage in service and governance activities at the program, department, college, and university levels.Maintain active presence at national, state, and regional professional organizations.How to Apply - Required Documentation:An Equity and Diversity Statement about your teaching or other experiences, successes, and challenges in working with a diverse student population (maximum two pages, single-spaced).Letter of application addressing the required and preferred qualifications.CV.Names and contact information for three references.Writing sample (e.g., published journal articles, book chapters, or a sample dissertation chapter).How to Apply:
