We seek candidates who are innovative thinkers, champion the effective use of instructional technology, and are committed to fostering a positive, culturally diverse community and atmosphere.The College of Arts & Sciences houses the areas of Design & Visual Arts, the Humanities, Math & Computer Science, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences. The dean of the college provides academic leadership for a group of creative and dedicated faculty to implement and advance the University’s strategic plan to empower learners from all backgrounds to reach their dreams.The dean of the college is responsible for academic programs, student success, and resources within the College of Arts and Sciences:Provide leadership in curriculum development, program review and evaluation, learning platforms, and assessment in collaboration with program directors and faculty.Foster and evolve Maryville’s active learning ecosystem.Recruit and retain faculty that enhance the quality and diversity of the college.Provide efficient fiscal administration of college resources and facilities.Support Maryville University’s strategic plan.Represent the College’s accomplishments, needs, and concerns to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.Ideal CandidateCandidates must have earned a terminal degree from an accredited institution in a discipline offered in the college.
