Institutional Research DirectorPOSITION DETAILSReporting to the Associate Provost for Assessment, Accreditation, and Institutional Effectiveness at Medgar Evers College (MEC), the Director of Institutional Research is responsible for all administrative functions in the Office of Institutional Research. The Office conducts a wide range of quantitative analysis to guide policy and evaluate the College's administrative processes and academic programs. The Director will manage data collection, organization, and support the analytic and reporting needs of MEC and the Central Offices of The City University of New York (CUNY). The Director will lead the Office in providing information for mandatory reporting and support grant and contract applications.Job Functions:Analyze data and present results to support program development and decision-making for administrators and senior leadership.Employ AI to complement qualitative, statistical, and data analysis to inform decision-making at the College.Provide data support for the annual Performance Management Process (PMP), strategic plan, and budget.Produce and maintain the Medgar Evers College Fact Book and Dashboard profiling key performance indicators.Disseminate faculty and staff surveys and report results for institutional use.Design, collect, and analyze student survey data and college-wide assessment surveys.Develop institutional research infrastructure to maintain an accurate database.Monitor the CUNY Institutional Research Database.Provide institutional data for grant applications and reporting requirements.Collaborate with institutional researchers at the University through the Institutional Research Council.Manage data processes for student evaluations and faculty workload reporting.Supervise the Office of Institutional Research staff.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree and eight years' relevant experience required.Other Qualifications:An advanced degree in a related field such as statistics, management information systems, economics, or business.Experience in higher education administration.Efficient in time management.Experience in developing and managing long-term projects.Proficient in survey design and administration, with experience in Qualtrics.Strong background in statistical analysis and database management systems (SQL, SAS/SPSS, or R).Ability to create informative presentations.Excellent relationship-building skills with educators and stakeholders.CUNY TITLE OVERVIEWDirects institutional research programs and contributes to academic program planning, evaluation, and other activities related to the College's mission.Works collaboratively with senior management on assessment issues.Designs and oversees institutional research efforts.Coordinates program reviews and accreditation reporting.Manages institutional research data systems.Maintains standard management information for reporting.Develops procedures to support analytical and assessment functions.Performs related duties as assigned.CUNY TITLE : Higher Education OfficerFLSA : ExemptCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS$129,310 - $132,987, commensurate with education and experience.
