Grace Baptist Children's Ministry Director

The Grace Children’s Ministry Director is a bi-vocational, part-time position at Grace Baptist in Grandview, TX, responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and evaluating a comprehensive children’s ministry for the church. The primary focus of this ministry is to maintain a vital, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Toward that end, the children’s ministry director will work closely with the pastor and other ministries to promote an environment that allows Grace children to fully experience God’s love as outlined by the Grace Vision, Mission, and Core Values. This ministry is subject to the Grace Statement of Faith, Bylaws, and Code of Conduct.Responsibilities include:Developing, promoting, and implementing a comprehensive program of Christian education for children, birth through the fifth grade, in an atmosphere of spiritual growth.Enlisting, training, and developing volunteer leadership in the Preschool and Children's age groups.Leading the children's committee and workers in determining goals, organization, leadership, facilities, finances, and administrative procedures.Soliciting and hiring nursery staff for all Sunday/Wednesday worship services and special occasions.Supervising paid nursery personnel.Leading the planning, coordination, conduct, and evaluation of the Christian education program of children, including Life Group, Discipleship, Missionary education, Vacation Bible School, Children’s Camp, and other planned ministries for children.Acting as purchasing agent for curriculum materials, equipment, and supplies for the Children's Department.Studying, praying, and making recommendations for needed changes in the children’s ministry concerning leadership challenges, space usage, equipment, furnishings, policies, and procedures.Preparing input for the annual budget for the needs of the children’s ministry and administering the approved budget to support ministry needs according to policy and established procedures.Attending Grace activities such as life groups, prayer meetings, pastor-led services, community outreach, etc., to facilitate both spiritual growth and well-being.For more information on Grace Baptist, visit
