The role of the EHS Supervisor is to participate as a member of Nucor Connecticut’s leadership team in executing Nucor’s Mission with regard to the promotion of safe, professional work practices and conditions that are in compliance with EHS policies and regulations. This includes direct responsibility for leading our EHS functions across the plant, leading and developing the EHS operational and support team for both short term and long-term goals, operating with autonomy to make decisions for the department, and reporting to the management team weekly. This position will report directly to the General Manager. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:3 years of experience in Environmental Engineering and ComplianceBachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experiencePreferred Qualifications:5 years of experience in environmental and/or safety managementTechnical degree in a related fieldDemonstrated mastery of the following:EPA Regulatory Compliance including permitting and auditingOSHA Regulatory Compliance including standards and reportingKnowledge of ISO 14001Environmental, Health and Safety Management SystemsLeadership experience with small teams.Compensation Data:Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000 (base) depending on experiencePosition is eligible for up to 30% ROA & Profit Share bonusNucor is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer – M/F/Disabled/Vets – and a drug-free workplace.
