Project Details:

Scrum Master plays a critical role in facilitating the successful implementation and adoption of the Scrum framework within the organization. They are responsible for promoting and supporting Agile principles and values to enable effective and efficient delivery of high-quality products. The Scrum Master serves as a servant leader, empowering and guiding the Scrum Team and ensuring adherence to scrum principles and processes.

Must Have Skills:

Solid understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework with proven experience as a Scrum Master

Knowledge of Agile techniques such as User Stories, Continuous Integration, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Demonstrate effective use of team metrics and work tracking tools, such as Azure DevOps

(preferred) , JIRA or TFS, for managing backlogs, sprints, and tracking progress

Managing support tickets and unblocking barriers to keep the team moving

Proficient in coordinating release management

Soft Skills:

Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to lead and empower teams, fostering a collaborative and self-organizing environment

Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Nice to have Skills:

Scrum Master certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM)) is preferred

Day to Day responsibilities:

Facilitate Scrum Processes:

Guide the Scrum team in adhering to Scrum practices, ceremonies, and principles.

Facilitate daily standup meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospective sessions.

Remove obstacles and impediments that hinder the team's progress.

Coaching and Mentoring:

Coach the team members on Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and self-organization.

Provide guidance on effective collaboration, communication, and conflict resolution.

Help individuals and the team continuously improve and optimize their performance.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.

Facilitate collaboration between the development team and product owner to ensure smooth product backlog management.

Act as a liaison between the Scrum team and external stakeholders, fostering transparency and trust.

Metrics and Reporting:

Track and report project progress, sprint velocity, and other relevant metrics.

Maintain transparency by ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on the project's status and progress.

Continuous Improvement:

Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating retrospective sessions and implementing improvements based on feedback.

Identify and implement best practices to enhance team productivity, quality, and delivery.
