This person should be able to perform in a self-directed manner in all facets of the building design process, including schematic design, design development, contract documents, construction administration, digital modeling and rendering, and preparation of presentations, while adhering to budgets, timelines, schedules, and other project requirements.ResponsibilitiesDevelop concepts based on given criteria; use feedback to modify designsWork collaboratively with other team members as to best approachWork on high-level tasks and deliverables for multiple projects simultaneouslyProduce sets of production documents in both design development and construction documentation phasesIncrease required technical and functional skills in related technologies, which may include Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Enscape, Sketchup, AutoCAD, and other 3D modeling and rendering programsAct as a project manager for small and medium projects or teamsDevelop relationships and interact with clientsCommunicate with client agents, subcontractors, and consultantsParticipate in professional development activities and initiatives, both inside and outside the firmBuild and maintain a network of connections within the industry; attend events central to the firm’s strengths and goalsMentor and develop team membersAny other duties as assignedQualificationsA professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited college or university (or have completed NCARB's EESA evaluation if you have a degree that is not NAAB-accredited)8-12 years of experience in a professional architecture environment; experience in hospitality projects is desired but not requiredProficiency working in Revit with additional experience working with CAD, Rhino, and/or other 3D modeling and rendering programs preferable; experience in Revit is requiredKnowledge of materials, project design, and preparation of construction documentsExperience in all conventional aspects of architectureExperience in all phases and aspects of a projectEffective verbal and written communication skillsAble to work in a collaborative, professional mannerAble to problem solve with attention to detail and a desire to learnAble to work independently with little supervisionREQUIRED: U.S.-based architectural license (licensed and registered in an NCARB jurisdiction)OPTIONAL: LEED Green Associate or LEED AP with Specialty accreditation; WELL AP accreditation; NCIDQ certificationIf interested, qualified candidates should submit a resume and work samples or portfolio (no larger than 6 MB) through our careers website.TVS offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, as well as 401(k) Plan and ESOP program.
