DescriptionAs a
Senior Project Architect , you will:
Lead all phases of the design process with a high level of proficiency and expertise while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, project management, execution, and living design.
Understand and respond to technical implications, design decisions, and project financial goals.
Lead and participate in project documentation development and the production of deliverable drawings and specifications.
Oversee and manage Quality Control reviews at each phase for conformance with firm standards, contractual obligations, and project design intent, focusing on quality, accuracy, legibility, completeness, and constructability.
Direct project Quality Assurance efforts and ensure adherence to Perkins&Will standards.
Accountable for effective project coordination among internal disciplines (architecture, interior design, landscape architecture) and with external consultants.
Communicate with clients regarding project technical matters.
Oversee project regulatory reviews (building code, accessibility, zoning) and coordination with, and submission to, authorities having jurisdiction.
Ensure effective and efficient team performance of construction contract administration responsibilities.
Maintain awareness of evolving building technology and engineering systems relevant to project work.
Contribute to project marketing pursuits, proposal preparation, and interviews.
Lead collaborative teams in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups.
Demonstrate strong and effective communication, decision-making, and collaboration, inspiring high team performance.
Mentor staff and provide oversight of assignments.
Requirements
To join us, you should have:
A professional degree in Architecture, Design, or related discipline.
10+ years of experience with significant multifamily/mixed-use project experience.
Multiple residencies and affordable housing experience.
Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software; Revit experience is a must.
LEED GA within 6 months of hire.
Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you: LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation.
