This position is responsible for performing a full range of activities within the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) to ensure operational effectiveness and excellence. This includes working with MAC staff to understand business needs, create technical solutions, address questions of functionality, provide guidance in the development of technical solutions, and support the day-to-day operations of the ERP (JDE Enterprise One) used by the MAC.

This position is responsible for performing complex design, configuration, testing, and debugging in various inter-related modules that include accounting, human resources, real estate, capital asset management, and procurement. This position is responsible for providing support to users in these business areas. This position is also responsible for the setup and rollout of new functionalities, recommending JDE best practices for the management and use of the software.

This includes following departmental procedures to complete work, recommending changes to departmental processes, and prioritizing work. Subsequently, the Business/Systems Analyst - ERP must anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change with responsibility for acting decisively in critical situations to circumvent a potential problem.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupports the ERP environment with a focus on understanding application functionality as it relates to current and future business requirements.Challenges his/herself to be the subject matter expert on all aspects of the ERP environment. Stays current on ERP technology trends and shifts in the industry. Anticipates and makes plans to accommodate the changes in the industry, technology, and business.Facilitates, leads, and champions the successful delivery of solutions focusing on industry standards, best practices, root cause analysis, and training.Whenever possible, creates solutions using standard E1 configuration tools such as processing options and user-defined code. Software customization should only be done when standard configuration does not meet business requirements.In collaborative efforts, supports the design of quality systems solutions by preparing functional specifications; identifying and evaluating options; preparing functional specifications; configuring the system; resolving solution issues; serving as a bridge between the business and the application solutions; creating and delivering related user documentation and end-user training.Identifies and recommends business process redesign and application enhancements when appropriate.Works on cross-functional teams consisting of technical and business resources.Provides software quality assurance by creating test plans and scripts; conducting unit and integration testing in conjunction with end-users; provides guidance to end-users with the creation of end-user test cases, obtains signoff and acceptance of production changes to maintain a highly available, secure, and reliable system.Delivers solutions by mapping functional requirements to existing application configuration and building functional roadmaps based on business requirements for implementing improvements.Facilitates application setup, configuration, and testing as needed to meet business needs.Performs direct end-user support for any issues or questions related to the enterprise applications.Applies and follows IT policies and methodologies such as change management.Lends support to system and component upgrades.Coordinates with business and technology teams ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.Understands the design and functionality of integrations to and from E1 and other applications.Other duties as assigned.RELATIONSHIPSSupervisory

- Rebounding from setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalent.Five years of direct experience with JD Edwards.Experience supporting end-users with resolving system issues and implementing changes within JD Edwards.Experience performing business analyst activities such as issue identification, gathering requirements, business process design, influencing direction, and usage of software tools.Experience in the development of system documentation and procedures.Completion of at least one implementation cycle such as a tools release or upgrade.Experience in the successful implementation, configuration, management, and maintenance of JDE applications.Experience with one or more of the following modules: Financials (GL, AP, AR), Job Cost, Fixed Assets, Real Estate Management, HCM, Payroll, Employee Self Service, Capital Asset Management, Procurement, Requisition Self Service, and Sales Order Management.Solid interpersonal skills, technically curious and self-motivated.Ability to understand and communicate technical information to the end-users in an easily understood manner.Valid driver’s license.Reliable vehicle to commute between job sites.DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in management information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent experience.Ability to drive initiatives through presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.Experience with User Defined Objects and Orchestrations.Experience with databases such as SQL or SharePoint.Experience with BI-Publisher, Reports Now or All Out.Experience implementing role-based system security.EnterpriseOne development experience with JDE Tools and business functions.Experience with UKG / Kronos System Administrator.
