Amplify Publishing Group (APG) is a leader in the hybrid publishing space with more than twenty years of experience acquiring, producing, marketing, and distributing books. Passionate about ideas and voices that need to be heard, APG is known for launching nonfiction books that start engaging and timely conversations.We’re seeking a marketing and publicity expert to join our energetic and forward-thinking team. Candidates should be passionate about publishing and prepared to think creatively in order to successfully launch and publicize new books.RESPONSIBILITIES
Work collaboratively with authors to develop and execute integrative marketing plans for books, with an emphasis on nonfiction.Draft pitches, wire-ready press releases, and electronic press kits.Complete outreach on behalf of authors in support of the release of their books.Interface directly with authors and provide regular updates on marketing engagements.Write select website, social media, and blog copy for author platforms, upcoming book releases, and company channels.Manage strategic advertising campaigns on Amazon and social media.Strategize with full internal marketing team and other departments on corporate marketing initiatives.Liaise with authors, their teams, and internal departments to assure the success of your book launches—including being aware of publishing milestones and assisting with retail opportunities.REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, English, or related field required.2–5 years of client management/relations experience preferred.2–5 years of book marketing and/or publicity experience preferred.Candidate should have excellent copywriting and editing skills.Candidate must be detail-oriented, well-organized, and a creative problem solver.Candidate should be able to prioritize competing tasks, maintain deadlines, and handle high-priority projects as they arise.Familiarity with and activity on social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn a plus.BENEFITS INCLUDE
