OPPORTUNITYWe are seeking a Community Schools Coordinator with a desire to support and work with a team of school leaders who strive to ensure that all students are prepared for college, leadership and life. The Community Schools Coordinator will report to the Principal and serve as a bridge between the school and external community partners to ensure the coordination of programs, services and resources to improve the academic and social-emotional outcomes for students. All Community Schools Coordinators will be included in a cohort who will receive monthly professional development at the Green Dot central office and participate in monthly collaboration time with their peers. With support from the Green Dot CA Central Office, they will manage existing partnerships, identify new partners, and monitor program quality and impact by using a data and results driven approach. This position will be based at our Ánimo James B. Taylor Charter Middle School and is a grant-funded position, ending on June 30, 2027.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESCommunity Outreach and Feedback:

Establish strong, productive, and trusting relationships with administrative team, school personnel, partnership organizations, students and community to seek input on needs and address barriers to learning and social-emotional needs/services.Act as the liaison between school administration, key stakeholders, staff, students and community.

Establish And Maintain Community Schools Partnerships And Programs:

Implement a needs assessment in order to recommend programs and partnerships that meet the needs of the school’s students and families.Develop and maintain a schedule of programs and activities offered at the school.Manage day-to-day operations of the Community Schools model, including managing partnerships, site plans, and coordinating resources.Develop, implement, and maintain a process that promotes referrals to programs and services offered through the community school grant.Organize and/or attend various school, outreach or grant related events during or outside of traditional school hours (program culminations, press events, open houses, community events, etc.).

Communicating And Encouraging Participation:

Lead a committee of stakeholders who meet a minimum of six times a year to provide input on the work.Communicate using social media, fliers, stakeholder presentations etc. to ensure that stakeholders are aware of the various opportunities.Communicate program goals, logistics, requirements, and needs with all stakeholders: Central Office departments, school site staff, administrators, partners, parents, and students.

Grant Management:

Align partners and programs to the California Community School Grant pillars and the goals communicated in the school’s submitted implementation forms.Monitor Community Schools budget and collaborate with your school’s Operations and Finance manager as well as Green Dot’s grant accountants to review quarterly fiscal reports on funds spent and impact of programs.Coordinate the collection and input of evaluation data used to measure ongoing program effectiveness of services and program outcome measures.Review and monitor progress on grant goals and metrics on a quarterly basis by analyzing data, impact and providing recommendations on partnership expansion.Develop, manage, and coordinate documents needed for internal and external program audits and compliance requirements.Collaborate with the grants team to ensure the timely submission of all required reports and supporting materials.

QUALIFICATIONSAs an ideal candidate, you:have a bachelor’s degree (required).are bilingual - English/Spanish (highly desirable).have experience working in an urban school setting.have experience working with community organizations, non-profit or educational programs or social/human services.have experience with youth development, academic enrichment and/or family support programs.have experience working with and leading community partnerships; Ability to work with various stakeholders such as administrators, teachers, parents and students.have experience managing budgets.possess a growth mindset and love of learning.can demonstrate proven leadership capabilities.have a strong ethical base and self-awareness.are able to work independently and manage time effectively.are able to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and evenings.possess excellent interpersonal communication and written skills.are dependable, humble, have a sense of humor and a rock-solid commitment to Green Dot’s mission and the communities we serve.will need to pass a TB test and background check at time of offer.The information contained herein is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job, nor is it intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to perform the job.COMPENSATIONThe starting annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000, based on education and experience.
