We are seeking a skilled Swiss CNC Programmer/Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal as it involves taking engineering projects from concept to production. The ideal candidate will be adept in managing the entire life cycle of precision machining projects, from engineering design, programming CNC machines, to overseeing production and ensuring quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Engineer new parts from blueprint to full-scale production, ensuring high levels of efficiency and quality.
Program Citizen Swiss CNC machines using Espirit/Hexagon software to produce precise and efficient outputs.
Select appropriate tools and manage tooling inventories to optimize performance and reduce wastage.
Develop and update setup sheets that facilitate quick and accurate machine setups.
Troubleshoot and rectify any process disruptions to maintain steady production flow.
Work collaboratively with customer engineers to meet exact technical specifications and product requirements.
Assure product quality by working closely with the Quality Control team, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Oversee production timelines in collaboration with Operations Coordinators, aiming for maximum efficiency.
Lead the setup and successful first article acceptance of new parts moving towards full production ramp-up.
Diagnose and fix machine alarms and errors to minimize downtime.
Engage in occasional travel to customer sites for relationship building and technical support.
Provide training and guidance to new team members on CNC machine operations and protocols.
Maintain all relevant electronic production files including CAD/CAM files, drawings, and other documentation.
Partner with engineering and quality control teams to foster continuous improvement and meet production targets.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Strong background in operation and programming of Citizen Swiss CNC machines.
In-depth knowledge and operational expertise with Esprit/Hexagon software.
Proven track record of engineering and producing parts from prints to full production.
Experienced in the selection and management of tools and setup preparations.
Capability to troubleshoot and rectify processing issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interactions.
Well-organized with a keen attention to detail, particularly in handling production documentation and compliance with quality standards.
Demonstrated ability to instruct and mentor team members in machinery and production procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced certification or training specific to Swiss CNC machinery and Esprit software is highly advantageous.
Experience in leading teams or managing production lines within a precision machining environment.
Prior involvement in projects that require adherence to ISO quality standards.
Proficiency in solving complex technical problems in a high-pressure manufacturing setting.
Willingness to travel and interact with clients for on-site technical support and relationship management.
