Who we are seeking: Proven top-performing Big4 Auditors with experience in middle market private clients who are seeking to leverage their experience into a career in Transaction Advisory Services.
About the position: Palm Tree’s roots are in Financial Due Diligence, executing its first buy-side private equity QoE engagement in 2010. Today, the practice remains a large, growing base for Palm Tree’s revenue streams. This is an add-to-staff position that aims to support our continued growth. The position is geared toward high-performing Big4 auditors and early-stage TAS professionals who are seeking to develop a QoE skillset.
Responsibilities & Duties: Perform basic financial-based due diligence on prospective transactions and strategic decisions of businesses Learn to identify and quantify key financial and operations risks and evaluate business drivers/assumptions Support teams with financial statement analysis, including detailed review of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and key operational metrics
Assist in creating client-facing outputs/reports and presentations that highlight the key financial, commercial, and strategic drivers behind financial performance, such as CIPs, investment models, KPI dashboards, and Quality of Earnings reports Learn and support basic FP&A and modeling engagements, including 3-statement financial and operational models Help to synthesize and convert data into meaningful metrics to analyze business performance and drivers Compose and analyze detailed financial reporting packages, operational KPIs, liquidity, and other reports Assist in the construction of reports and presentations for clients using PowerPoint, Excel, and BI technologies
Manage and prioritize service-based and strategic responsibilities, including business development, through continuous interaction with senior team members
Qualifications & Requirements: Senior Analysts should have an undergraduate degree in Accounting, an active CPA (or proven progress towards), and experience with private clients in the middle market. Postgraduate degrees are a plus but not required. Ideal Senior Analyst candidates bring professional experience in Big4/public accounting, with at least a full year of QoE work. In addition to demonstrating a strong work ethic, being well organized, and being capable of multi-tasking on more than one assignment at a time, candidates should have sound technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data tools such as Tableau or PowerBI is a plus.

Compensation: The base salary for this position is $100k with a performance-based bonus. The final title and compensation will be based on the candidate's experience and day-1 capabilities, as determined in the interview process. *Palm Tree is a "Hybrid" work environment; this position requires 2+ days per week in the office. Palm Tree engagements can also require 5% - 35+% travel with the ability to work remotely and with offices in the L.A., Chicago, Detroit, and Dallas markets.*
