This Principal Powertrain Thermal Management System Subject Matter Expert position fills a key role in our global engineering organization, supporting the establishment of future strategic direction and directly executing advanced development programs for powertrain thermal management system products. The role allows the ideal candidate to exercise expertise in the powertrain thermal management system design area, leading to Stoneridge product development that will revolutionize and advance the state-of-the-art in powertrain thermal management systems. Stoneridge System Subject Matter Experts strive to be the recognized experts for their assigned products and share a passion to ensure that the products Stoneridge develops are aligned with market needs and expectations.The Principal Powertrain Thermal Management System Subject Matter Expert at Stoneridge will participate in:Analysis of current and future system level requirements for powertrain thermal management systems and componentsDevelopment of roadmap for Stoneridge advanced product development for technology crucial to advancement of powertrain thermal management systemsDocumentation of system level requirements for advanced development and production programsSimulation and validation plans for Stoneridge powertrain thermal management components at a system levelProduct development on vehicles and vehicle systems including Stoneridge powertrain thermal management productsReview of validation data for system requirements on Stoneridge powertrain thermal management productsMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Subject Matter Expert for Stoneridge products in powertrain thermal management system markets.Understand and document regulatory requirements affecting powertrain thermal management system design.Translate regulatory requirements into system requirements for Stoneridge powertrain thermal management products.Understand customer trends and document system requirements for Stoneridge powertrain thermal management products.Participate in customer discussions relative to powertrain thermal management applications.Develop intellectual property that leads to recognition of Stoneridge as a powertrain thermal management systems expert.Present Stoneridge powertrain thermal management solutions to industry leaders and customers for business development.Translate customer requirements into system level requirements for Stoneridge powertrain thermal management products.Understand and synthesize customer product use cases into Stoneridge validation requirements.QUALIFICATIONS:BS in an engineering discipline is required, MSEE or MSME preferredSignificant experience in intellectual property development as evidenced by patents and publicationsSignificant experience in interfacing with customers and/or suppliers in powertrain thermal management systemsAt least 15 years of experience in powertrain thermal management systems developmentKnowledge of appropriate laboratory tools for performing product analysis and testing.Must be self-motivated, a fast learner, and a strong problem solver.Innovative spirit and collaborative team member.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Available for travel as required to meet Stoneridge objectives.Thrives in a fast-paced, start-up culture.Comfortable with expectations of excellence in level of productivity and quality of work.
